The AVID HIFI Pellere is a premium phono preamplifier that delivers pristine sound quality through balanced design innovation pioneered in AVID's flagship Pulsare II phonostage. Handcrafted within AVID's own facilities near Huntingdon, England, the Pellere possesses the same internal high-specification components as the Pulsare II to keep noise and distortion exceptionally low across the audio spectrum. It is capable of resolving the finest musical detail and working with the best cartridges available. The unit features fully balanced operation throughout with both XLR and RCA inputs and outputs, exceptional adjustability via DIP switches on the base panel, and a separate regulated 300VA power supply. A passive RIAA circuit with Neumann HF correction using high-end capacitors maintains linearity of reproduction, while the dual-box configuration rejects electromagnetic interference. The Pellere offers an impressive sense of control over musical presentation while allowing the music to run free, providing a calm and wholly convincing manner of tracking and communication.
