The Avid Diva II SP is a refined high-end turntable that builds upon the original Diva II model with significant performance enhancements. It features a heavy machined aluminium platter that works with a vibration-absorbing chassis and a unique low-density, self-lubricating bearing system to virtually eliminate torsional vibration. The twin belt drive system and a 24V 12mNm AC synchronous motor provide smooth, dynamic sound with improved bass and treble definition. Speed control is precisely managed by a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) engine that stabilizes motor speed and reduces noise. The turntable includes a triple layer 3-point elastomer suspension and is designed with a standard cut for SME tonearms (adapters available). The power supply is a separate DSP vari-speed control unit, calibrated to the motor for optimal torque and minimal vibration.
