The Aurum Acoustics Integris Active 300B is a fully integrated high-end audio system that combines the beauty of vacuum tube sound with the authority of solid-state amplification in an active loudspeaker package. It includes a pair of crossoverless 3-way loudspeakers, a stereo tri-amplifier, and custom loudspeaker cabling. The system uses no passive crossovers; instead, all crossover functions are performed in the low-level amplification stage using custom Cardas polypropylene film capacitors and precision metal-film resistors, with no inductors. The midrange and treble are powered by 300B mesh plate Sophia Electric output tubes running single-ended, complemented by low-level ElectroHarmonix 6SN7 tubes and custom output transformers, while the bass frequencies are driven by high-power solid-state transistor amplification (originally Bryston, later updated to UCD Class D technology). The loudspeakers feature a sealed enclosure design with a 98dB sensitivity B&C midrange driver, Seas Excel series tweeter with Sonotex soft dome, and a 10-inch Seas woofer with treated paper cone. The front baffle is tilted to align driver voice coils and reduce internal standing waves. The system is designed for high technical accuracy and musical satisfaction, delivering triode-like warmth with solid-state tight bass. The amplifier chassis measures 19"W x 10"H x 23"D and weighs about 70 pounds.
