About the ACS100

The Aurender ACS100 is a music server/streamer, CD ripper, and central library hub designed to add CD ripping, library management, and central server functionality to Aurender systems such as A200, A15, A20, N20, W20SE, and N30SA. Conceived as a more cost-effective companion to the ACS10, it uses an external switch‑mode power supply (SMPS) instead of a linear supply and omits a dedicated, filtered, isolated audiophile USB output, reflecting its primary role as a central server and utility component rather than a high‑performance digital transport. Key functions include automatic, error‑corrected CD ripping via a slot‑loading drive, comprehensive library management, and metadata editing—handled via Aurender's ACS Manager/Conductor apps without needing a traditional computer. The ACS100 can act as the "mothership" for an Aurender ecosystem: other Aurender players on the same network can sync and stream music from its internal storage, offloading server and library tasks from the main playback unit and benefiting multi‑room or multi‑system setups. As a music server/streamer, the ACS100 offers cached playback from a 240GB NVMe SSD, which is used for buffering to reduce noise and improve stability during playback, and it provides a USB 2.0 digital audio output to feed an external DAC when used as a stand‑alone source or in a secondary system. The machined aluminum chassis houses two user‑installable 2.5" drive trays, supporting up to two 8TB SSDs (up to 16TB internal storage) for large music libraries. Integrated streaming options include app‑embedded TIDAL and Qobuz, Spotify Connect, internet radio, and optional MQA Core decoding, all controlled via the Aurender Conductor app for iOS and Android. The ACS100 is a CD ripper only (not a disc player) and is not positioned or specified by Aurender as Roon Ready.
