About the Hommage Cinema

The Auditorium 23 Hommage Cinema is a three-way floor-standing loudspeaker system with powered woofers. It uses recreations by Line Magnetic of Western Electric's 555 compression driver for midrange and 597A compression driver for treble, combined with 12" and 7" cone woofers. The system features a 7kHz high-pass filter for the treble horn and a 300Hz high-pass filter for the woofer amplifiers, both at 6dB/octave. It has a sensitivity of 105dB/W/m and an impedance of 15 ohms. The woofers are powered by two 50W amplifiers. The speaker is designed to deliver exceptional ease and musicality, with a complex field-coil supply unit and separate transformer-coupled A/B amplifiers for each woofer driver. The midrange horn is made of solid wood and laminated spruce plywood, and the speakers are available in walnut, cherry, ash, or whitewashed oak finishes. Dimensions are 45" high by 18" wide by 16.5" deep. The system is praised for its effortless sound reproduction and high efficiency, suitable for filling large rooms with sound energy. It is manufactured by Auditorium 23 in Germany and distributed in the US by Tone Imports.
