About the Cheetah
The AudioQuest Cheetah Balanced XLR Audio Interconnects are designed for audiophiles seeking superior signal transfer and sonic clarity. These cables use extremely high-purity Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) solid conductors to minimize distortion caused by grain boundaries, resulting in clearer sound. The conductors are housed in Teflon Air-Tubes, which provide excellent insulation by surrounding the conductors with mostly air, reducing energy absorption and release. The cable employs a Triple Balanced design with three solid conductors, ensuring equally low distortion paths for positive and negative signals whether terminated with RCA or XLR connectors. The 100% coverage shield is never used as an audio conductor, preserving signal integrity. Additionally, the cables incorporate AudioQuest's 36V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS), which applies a constant voltage to polarize the cable's insulation, reducing distortion and improving dynamics.
