The Audion Silver Night MKII PX25 is a high-end stereo power amplifier featuring PX25 tubes, delivering 8 watts per channel into 8 ohms in pure Class A operation. It is hand-built with point-to-point wiring (Air Wired©) using high-quality British, European, and American components, avoiding Chinese parts where possible. The amplifier employs a zero feedback design to maximize musical subtleties and nuances, with auto biasing for the tubes and a conservative power rating that effectively doubles under competitor testing methods. It is best suited for loudspeakers with 93 dB or better efficiency. The chassis is constructed from military-grade aluminum with a durable black powder-coated finish, complemented by a mirror-polished stainless steel top plate and badge. The amplifier includes a front panel volume control and stereo inputs on the rear, eliminating the need for a separate preamplifier. The PX25 tube provides a sweet and controlled midrange with deeper bass and higher treble presence compared to the 300B variant. The Silver Night MKII PX25 is part of Audion's award-winning Silver Night range, known for its musicality and fidelity, and represents the 5th generation of this model line, originally launched in 1987. Optional upgrades include integrated versions with multiple inputs and remote volume control, as well as premium interstage capacitors and resistors.
