About the Series IV

The Audiomods Series IV tonearm is a beautifully crafted and bold design dedicated to high-fidelity vinyl playback. It features a redesigned multilayer arm tube of increased diameter, a new bearing assembly with high-quality ceramic/hybrid bearings, and cryo-treated silver litz wiring for improved signal transmission. The arm includes a satellite counterweight for fine vertical tracking force (VTF) adjustments and a string anti-skating system that can be completely disengaged for precise bias tuning. The arm height and stylus rake angle (SRA) are easily adjustable, with an optional micrometer for precise and repeatable SRA settings. The counterweight design uses a constrained layer construction with lead for resonance control. The effective mass of the arm ranges between 9 and 11 grams depending on counterweight configuration, making it suitable for a wide range of cartridges. The Series IV can be serviced and upgraded to Series Five specifications, including new arm yoke, bearings, and counterweight modifications. It is praised for its sonic performance, fine detail retrieval, and ability to reveal subtle nuances in vinyl playback.
