The Audiocraft AC3000 MC is a premium tonearm known for its black anodized brass construction for the arm stem, center block, and arm base, which enhances sound quality. It features an oil-damped, one-point support design with adjustable viscous damping that can be finely tuned from light to heavy to match the cartridge used. The tonearm supports a wide variety of cartridges, including high compliance, low tracking force moving coil cartridges, with two different counterweights provided for optimal balance. It has a 237mm effective length, 15mm overhang, and 222mm mounting distance. The arm stem diameter is standardized at 9mm based on extensive listening tests. The AC3000 MC also includes a cue/pause lever with height adjustment and uses a low-resistance cable optimized for moving coil cartridges. This tonearm is highly regarded for its ability to suppress unwanted resonances and deliver clear, detailed sound reproduction, especially in the low-frequency range.
