About the AT95E

The Audio Technica AT95E is a half-inch standard mount moving magnet cartridge designed for high-quality vinyl playback. It features an elliptical diamond stylus with a bonded round shank and an aluminum pipe cantilever, providing precise groove tracking and excellent audio reproduction. The cartridge has a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, channel separation greater than 20 dB at 1 kHz, and an output voltage of 3.5 mV at 1 kHz, 5 cm/sec. It operates with a recommended tracking force of 1.5 to 2.5 grams (typically 2.0 grams) and a vertical tracking angle of 20°. The cartridge weighs approximately 5.7 grams and measures 17 mm high, 16.8 mm wide, and 31 mm deep. It is highly regarded for its balanced, clear sound without brightness or dullness, making it a best-buy value for mid-range systems. The AT95E was manufactured in Japan from 1981 until it was discontinued around 2019, with over 5 million units produced. Replacement stylus is the ATN95E. Included accessories are mounting screws, nuts, and washers for installation.
