The Audio-Technica AT-OC9 XSL features a dual moving coil design with a special line contact stylus for outstanding channel separation and groove tracking accuracy. It uses Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting (PCOCC) coils for pure audio transmission, a rigid aluminum body to reduce resonance, and a neodymium magnet with a premium permendur yoke for increased magnetic energy. The nude special line contact stylus is mounted on a boron cantilever, delivering rich, full-range audio with high transient response. The cartridge is praised for its vivid clarity, precise instrument placement, and ability to convey both subtle dynamics and large-scale musical events with equal fidelity.
