About the LPA2

The Audio-Technica AT-LPA2 is a fully manual, belt-drive turntable with a 30 mm-thick clear acrylic plinth and 20 mm-thick acrylic platter. It uses an external control unit and power supply for electronically selectable 33 1/3 and 45 RPM operation. The static-balanced straight carbon tonearm has an effective length of 223.6 mm and provides adjustable tonearm height, tracking force, and thread-suspended anti-skate. An Audio-Technica AT-OC9XEN low-output moving-coil cartridge is factory-installed; it uses a 0.3 × 0.7 mil nude elliptical stylus, produces 0.35 mV, and requires a phono stage or step-up transformer compatible with moving-coil cartridges, with a recommended load of at least 100 ohms. The turntable has no USB output, Bluetooth, or built-in phono preamplifier. Included accessories comprise the external control unit, hinged dust cover, platter, drive belt, two counterweights, anti-skate weights, headshell with AT-OC9XEN cartridge, 45 RPM adapter, RCA cable, power and control cables, ground wire, tools, and gloves. The turntable body measures 420 × 340 × 135 mm (W × D × H) and weighs approximately 8.4 kg; the control unit measures 133 × 228 × 50 mm.
