About the ART7

The Audio-Technica AT-ART7 is a premium non-magnetic core moving coil cartridge based on the limited-edition AT50ANV design. It features a liquid crystal polymer armature that suppresses unwanted vibration from power generation, enhancing sound clarity. The cartridge uses a special line contact stylus with a 40µm x 7µm curvature radius and a 0.26 mm diameter solid boron cantilever for precise groove tracing and signal transfer. Its magnetic circuit includes a large-sized neodymium magnet to increase magnetic energy and output voltage, improving playback of medium-to-low frequencies. The hybrid body combines machined aluminum and hard plastic to reduce parasitic resonance, supported by a machined aluminum base for stable playback. The dual moving coil design uses high-performance PCOCC wire for excellent stereo separation and wide frequency response, resulting in extremely natural and three-dimensional sound quality. The cartridge requires compatible preamps or receivers due to its low output and has a half-inch mounting feature.
