About the VSi75

The Audio Research VSi75 is a stereo integrated amplifier that builds on the acclaimed VSi60 by incorporating technology from the Reference 75 power amplifier, resulting in significantly improved performance. It features a 100% tube design with two double triodes 6H30 (one per channel) and four KT120 power tubes (two per channel), delivering 75 watts RMS per channel into 8 or 4 ohms. The amplifier offers a wide frequency response from 1 Hz to 70 kHz (-3 dB points), ensuring natural and detailed music reproduction with excellent impact and presence. It includes a power transformer optimized for KT120 tubes, output transformers and decoupling capacitors identical to those in the Reference 75, and electronically regulated high and low voltage power supplies. The VSi75 has a slew rate of 10 V/µs and a rise time of 4 µs. User controls include an alphanumeric LCD display showing input selection, volume (with 103 steps), and valve bias, five single-ended RCA inputs, a tape input/output loop, and separate speaker terminals for 4 and 8 ohms. The amplifier measures 368 x 235 x 413 mm and weighs 16.5 kg. It is hand-built in the USA and praised for its resolution, extended highs, weight, authority, and ability to create an immense soundstage, making it suitable for a wide range of music genres.
