About the SD135

The Audio Research SD-135 is a solid-state power amplifier known for its fast response time, explosive dynamics, and ability to drive a wide range of speaker types, including difficult low impedance models. It delivers 130 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 230 watts per channel into 4 ohms. The frequency response is exceptionally wide, from 0.4 Hz to 300 kHz, providing deep, controlled bass and detailed, transparent sound with a very low noise floor. The amplifier features protection circuitry that mutes output in case of DC at inputs or shorted outputs, ensuring speaker safety.
