About the GS150

The Audio Research GS150 is a stereo tube power amplifier rated at 155 watts per channel continuously from 20Hz to 20kHz. It uses eight KT150 output tubes—four matched pairs—and four 6H30 driver tubes. The fully balanced design includes custom transformers and capacitors, separate 4-ohm and 8-ohm speaker outputs, balanced XLR inputs, a tube-hour meter, 12V trigger, and RS-232 control. Its front panel has three meters for monitoring output and bias. Frequency response is specified as 0.5Hz–120kHz, with a power bandwidth of 5Hz–80kHz. The amplifier measures 19 inches wide by 9 7/8 inches high by 22 1/2 inches deep, weighs approximately 87 pounds, and consumes approximately 730 watts at rated output. The GS150 is designed to provide high-power, wide-bandwidth performance for demanding loudspeaker loads.
