About the Tempo 3i

The Audio Physic Tempo 3i is an improved version of the original Tempo 3 floorstanding speaker, manufactured by Audio Physic in Germany around the early 2000s. It features a 2.5-way design with two 170 mm bass/midrange drivers and a 25 mm tweeter. The speaker cabinet is designed with a 7-degree rear tilt and uses a bass reflex port that conducts sound downward through the base for enhanced bass performance. It incorporates Wireworld internal wiring and a Ricom bending wave radiator from Vifa for improved sound quality. The speaker terminals are high-quality gold-plated single wiring terminals from WBT. The Tempo 3i is known for its extremely high-quality workmanship and refined sound reproduction, with a frequency response from 34 Hz to 40 kHz, an efficiency of 90 dB, and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. It is recommended to be paired with amplifiers delivering 20 to 180 watts. The cabinet is available in various wood finishes such as light maple, dark maple, black ash, cherry, and rosewood. The speaker weighs approximately 24 kg and measures 1095 x 180 x 270 mm (H x W x D).
