The Audio Note UK CDT-Three is engineered specifically for superior sound quality from Red Book CDs, emphasizing sonic performance over technical specifications. It features a top-loading, custom modified Philips CD Pro2LF CD mechanism, a power supply with three separate mains transformers, and internal wiring with Audio Note AN-Vx silver cable for digital signal transfer. The digital output transformer is silver wired using a thin laminated core, complemented by Audio Note Tantalum resistors and custom electrolytic capacitors. The CDT-Three offers both single-ended RCA 75 Ohm SPDIF and balanced XLR 110 Ohm AES/EBU transformer coupled digital outputs. It weighs 7.5 kg and measures 142mm (height) x 300mm (width) x 428mm (depth). The unit operates on AC 100-120V or 220-240V at 50/60Hz with a maximum power consumption of 35W. Available with either a black acrylic or silver anodised aluminium fascia, the CDT-Three fulfills Audio Note (UK) Level 3 criteria and continues the brand's commitment to extracting exceptional musical detail from standard CD format.
