About the R Zero/II

The Audio Note R Zero/II Phono Stage represents a new level in affordable yet high-quality analogue reproduction. It is a valve-based phono stage dedicated to Moving Magnet (MM) cartridges only, utilizing two 6112WA miniature dual triodes internally. The unit is housed in a compact chassis measuring approximately 96mm (height) x 300mm (width) x 270mm (depth) and weighs 3 kg. It features high-quality components such as Beyschlag resistors and Audio Note tin foil in oil capacitors, emphasizing sonic performance over technical specifications. The R Zero/II is designed to deliver a rich, warm sound characteristic of Audio Note's valve products, making it an excellent entry point into their audio ecosystem. It requires a step-up transformer or head amp if used with Moving Coil (MC) cartridges, as it only supports MM input. The phono stage operates on AC mains input of 100-120V or 220-240V at 50/60Hz and consumes a maximum of 48W power. The unit is available with different fascia finishes including black, brushed aluminium, or white acrylic. Due to ongoing R&D, specifications may be subject to change.
