The Audio Note UK AN-E SPe HE is the high-efficiency variant of the AN-E series, designed with a 1-inch tweeter and an 8-inch high-efficiency hemp cone bass driver, both equipped with silver voice coils. It features internal wiring with AN-SPe silver cable and an external aluminum chassis housing copper inductors and Audio Note copper foil capacitors. The speaker is a two-way, rear-ported, stand-mount design with a birch plywood cabinet finished with real wood veneer and a high gloss finish. It measures 790mm high, 360mm wide, and 270mm deep, weighing approximately 29 kg per speaker. The AN-E SPe HE offers a frequency response of 18 Hz to 23 kHz (±6 dB in room), a sensitivity of about 98 dB, and an impedance of 6 ohms, making it suitable for amplifiers from 7-8 watts RMS up to 150 watts RMS unclipped. The design emphasizes musicality, detail retrieval, and long-term listening satisfaction rather than immediate euphonic impact. No grilles are supplied, but protective options are available. The speaker is noted for its impressive scale, imaging, and integration of bass, with a cabinet shape that aids driver dispersion and bass output.
