The Audio Note UK AN-1S is a premium tonearm designed to complement high-quality analog cartridge systems such as the Audio Note IO Limited. It features a very short body for low clearance from the record surface and is hardwired with 50 strands of 99.99% pure silver wire arranged in a litz configuration, terminated with RCA connectors. The arm allows precise anti-skate adjustment, starting fully clockwise and fine-tuned anti-clockwise by ear to accommodate small variations in cartridge assembly and tracking forces. The AN-1S is part of a high-end analog playback system including the IO Ltd cartridge, AN-9L step-up transformer, and M6 phono preamplifier, emphasizing exacting platter rotation and precise setup for optimal classical music reproduction.
