The Audio Note Kassai Mono Power Amplifier is a pure Class A single-ended valve amplifier featuring a pair of 300B output valves in a parallel single-ended circuit. It is hand assembled and engineered for sonic performance rather than just technical specifications, fulfilling Audio Note (UK) Level 4 criteria including pure Class A operation, zero negative feedback, single-ended output stage, valve rectification, and directly heated triode operation. Each amplifier includes custom Audio Note (UK) output transformers with copper primary windings and silver secondary windings on UHiB double C cores, 1 Watt tantalum resistors, copper foil capacitors, silver internal wiring, and Black Gate capacitors in critical areas. The balanced version adds high-quality input transformers with copper primary and silver secondary windings. The amplifier delivers 18 watts RMS per channel into 4 or 8 ohm loads, with an input impedance of 100K ohm (600 ohm for balanced), and input sensitivity of 250mV (standard), 3.15V (low gain), or 1.6V (balanced). Valve complement includes 2 x 6SN7 (one per chassis), 4 x 300B (two per chassis), and 2 x 5U4GB (one per chassis). Dimensions are 195mm (H) x 205mm (W) x 500mm (D) per amplifier, weighing 20kg each. The amplifier is noted for its musicality, delivering a full musical construct without focusing on any single attribute, and is suitable for audiophiles who value music enjoyment and quality engineering.
