The Audio-gd NOS-11 combines the design elements of the NOS 7 and Master 9 models into a fully discrete DAC, headphone amplifier, and preamplifier. It features four top-tier PCM1704UK DAC chips and an integrated DSP data processor (Altera Cyclone II) for advanced digital signal processing. The unit supports asynchronous USB input via an Amanero Combo384 chip with galvanic isolation, enabling high-resolution audio playback up to 32bit/768kHz and DSD512. It includes six digital inputs (USB, coaxial, optical, BNC) and three analog inputs, with outputs for headphone, preamp, and DAC signals. The NOS-11 uses a precision TCXO clock to minimize jitter and employs high-quality audiophile components such as R-Core transformers, NOVER capacitors (totaling 50,000uF), and Dale resistors. The headphone amplifier delivers up to 16,000mW at 25 ohms in Class A operation. The DAC architecture is fully discrete with no operational amplifiers in the signal path, providing a natural, analog-like sound signature favored by audiophiles. The device also features digital volume control with 100 exponential steps, very low output impedance (1 ohm), and excellent crosstalk and frequency response specifications. The chassis is robust and designed for high-end audio performance.
