The Audio GD DAC 19 Anniversary Edition is a refined and improved version of the DAC-19 series, celebrating 10 years since the original release. It features dual PCM1704UK DAC chips working in parallel with an Altera Cyclone DSP for advanced digital processing. The output stage is a discrete Class-A ACSS circuit without operational amplifiers, powered by separate power supplies for low noise and high fidelity. It supports USB input up to 32-bit/192kHz with a VIA USB chip and includes a TCXO ultra-low jitter clock for improved timing accuracy. Inputs include BNC, RCA, Toslink optical, and USB-B, with outputs via RCA and ACSS. The DAC is housed in an aluminum chassis, weighs about 5 kg, and consumes 16W of power. It is praised for its smooth, natural sound with excellent dynamics and detail, designed to emulate the warmth and musicality of vinyl playback. The DAC is well-suited for acoustic and vocal music but may sound colored and less punchy with hard rock or electronic genres.
