About the DAC-19
The Audio GD DAC-19 is a digital-to-analog converter that uses two Burr-Brown PCM1704UK R2R DAC chips, one per channel, delivering 24-bit/192kHz resolution. It features a discrete, DC-coupled analog output stage without op-amps or capacitors in the signal path, ensuring a pure and transparent sound. The DAC supports USB input up to 32-bit/192kHz, coaxial and optical inputs up to 24-bit/96kHz, and includes a DSP filter for enhanced audio processing. It offers two output types: ACSS current mode and standard RCA voltage mode. The unit is housed in a solid black anodized aluminum chassis with a natural aluminum selection knob and includes phase inversion and power buttons on the front panel. The power supply is robust, with dual R-Core transformers and multiple voltage regulators to minimize jitter and noise. The DAC-19 is known for its detailed, neutral sound with excellent instrument separation and low-level detail retrieval. It also supports ACSS output for compatible Audio GD amplifiers.
