The DVA R2X is a high-performance single-ended to differential (unbalanced to balanced) converter ideal for audiophiles who want to use single-ended preamplifiers with balanced power amplifiers, including those from Audio by Van Alstine. It features one stereo pair of RCA input jacks and one stereo pair of XLR output jacks with pin 2 hot. The device provides a gain of two, meaning one volt input yields two volts output, and can deliver a maximum output over 20 volts zero-to-peak. The design prioritizes audiophile needs over pro-audio requirements, using carefully selected high-performance audio operational amplifiers for transparent and musical conversion. The compact chassis measures 7" x 5" x 2.5" and uses a separate wall wart power transformer to minimize AC noise, with heavily filtered linear regulators inside for low power supply noise.
