The Audio Analogue Cherubini VT is a discontinued Italian two-channel tuner and USB DAC with a vacuum-tube-buffered analogue output stage. It operates either as an AM/FM tuner or as a USB digital-to-analogue converter for a PC or Mac, combining an op-amp stage with a tube buffer. Its USB section accepts digital audio and provides both stereo analogue line output and an S/PDIF digital output for use with an external DAC. The unit has selectable AM/FM tuning, station preset storage, a low-emission display, a 12 V trigger output, and separate antenna connections for FM and AM. It is a source component, not an integrated amplifier; therefore speaker power, speaker impedance, damping factor, and headphone-output ratings do not apply.
