The preamplifier uses high-quality vacuum tubes (4 x 6DJ8/6922 and 1 x 6X4 rectifier) and premium components such as low-noise resistors and capacitors, contributing to its transparent, natural, and detailed sound. It has a maximum output level of 15 volts RMS for line inputs and 20 volts RMS for phono. The Modulus L2 is praised for its superb build quality and remains a highly regarded piece of audio equipment among vacuum tube enthusiasts.
