About the CRBN
The Audeze CRBN (pronounced 'carbon') represents a breakthrough in electrostatic headphone technology, utilizing a patent-pending ultra-thin polymer film with suspended carbon nanotubes originally developed for MRI applications in collaboration with UCLA. This innovative diaphragm ensures uniform charge distribution, reducing distortion, enhancing clarity, resolution, and transparency while delivering deep, realistic bass uncommon in electrostatic designs. Constructed with lightweight magnesium, carbon fiber, stainless steel, and polymer acetate, the CRBN weighs approximately 300-470g for supreme comfort with plush premium leather earpads and a carbon fiber suspension headband. Requires a 580V Stax Pro Bias electrostatic amplifier. Note: A successor model, CRBN², exists with upgrade options available.
