About the Excellence 5 AMT

The Audes Excellence 5 AMT is the flagship loudspeaker of the Excellence AMT series, designed to deliver lightning-fast transients and a remarkably precise soundstage without smearing detail. It features an AMT tweeter, two 5" SEAS Excel midrange drivers, and two side-firing 8" paper cone woofers designed and manufactured by Audes. The cabinet is rigidly constructed with a thick front panel and complex internal bracing to prevent resonances and standing waves. The AMT tweeter's frequency response is user-adjustable via a knob on the rear to accommodate room acoustics without affecting phase response. The speakers provide deep, smooth, tight, and well-controlled bass with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms and sensitivity of 89 dB. They are finished in black piano lacquer with Makassar ebony real wood veneer side panels by default, with other finishes available on request.
