About the DAC100
The Atoll Electronique DAC100 Signature is a premium digital-to-analog converter designed to deliver transparent, detailed, and realistic sound reproduction. It uses the Burr-Brown PCM1796 DAC chip capable of processing PCM signals up to 24 bits/192 kHz and DSD64/DSD128 via USB. The device features two independent transformers (one dedicated to analog audio), seven regulated power supplies, and output stages built with discrete components without feedback, polarized in class A. High-quality MKP capacitors are used in the audio signal path to ensure purity and linearity. Connectivity includes 3 coaxial inputs, 3 optical inputs, 1 USB-B input, 1 stereo RCA output, and digital coaxial and optical outputs. The DAC supports asynchronous USB input with a dedicated driver for Windows, while Mac and Linux do not require it. It can be controlled via an optional Atoll global remote for input selection and output attenuation. The DAC100 Signature is housed in a brushed aluminum front panel with a steel chassis, measuring 320 x 210 x 60 mm and weighing 2 kg. It is available in black or silver finish. This DAC is praised for its precise soundstage, excellent dynamics, and natural bass reproduction, making it an excellent upgrade for digital sources such as PCs, CD players, and network streamers.
