About the M60 MkII

The Atma-Sphere M60 Mk II is a high-end, single-ended, class A monoblock tube amplifier delivering 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms. It features a patented Balanced Differential Design with Circlotronic direct-coupled OTL output stage, dual-mono chassis construction, and uses eight 6AS7G output tubes and four 6SN7 input tubes per channel. The amplifier operates with no negative feedback or very low feedback (factory settable), ensuring supreme clarity and transparency. It is stable with all input and load conditions and uses only one gain stage for sound purity. The M60 Mk II is scalable by removing output tubes to adjust power output, uses readily available and inexpensive tubes, and is fully hand-wired with point-to-point electronics. It includes built-in VU meters for tube and output monitoring, automatic biasing, and a standby switch to extend tube life. The amplifier has a frequency response of 1Hz to 200kHz within 3 dB, power bandwidth of 2Hz to 75kHz within ½ dB, and typical total harmonic distortion of about 1% at full power. It is highly regarded for its soundstage, transparency, and reliability, with output tubes expected to last around 10,000 hours. The M60 Mk II.2 is an updated revision with improved components and clarity, It is considered one of the best value OTL tube amplifiers available, competing favorably with much higher priced units.
