The ATC SM75-150 is a 3-inch soft dome midrange driver designed primarily for use in professional studio monitors and high-end loudspeakers. It features a robust motor assembly with versions including a standard and a 'Super' (SM75-150S) model, the latter having a larger 9 kg magnet for higher efficiency. The driver is known for its excellent linearity, low distortion, and wide frequency response up to around 3 kHz, making it suitable for precise midrange reproduction. It has a sensitivity of approximately 91 dB SPL, a nominal power rating of 75 watts, and a maximum input power of 150 watts. The driver is available in 4, 8, and 16 ohm impedance versions. It is widely respected for its mechanical damping characteristics and is used in ATC's own loudspeakers as well as by other high-end manufacturers. The SM75-150 is often paired with large bass drivers and high-frequency tweeters in tri-amped configurations for optimal performance.
