About the SCM50ASL

The SCM50ASL is designed for professional and high-end home audio use, offering exceptional accuracy, transparency, and dynamic range. It features a 25mm ATC SH25-76S soft dome tweeter, a 75mm Super Dome midrange driver, and a 234mm (9") Super Linear bass driver with ATC's unique magnet technology. Each driver is powered by its own matched MOS-FET amplifier in a tri-amped configuration (50W HF, 100W MF, 200W LF) with active crossover electronics designed and manufactured in-house. The speaker provides amplitude linearity within ±2dB from 70Hz to 20kHz, frequency response from 38Hz to 25kHz (-6dB), and a maximum continuous SPL of 112dB at 1 meter. It has a coherent horizontal dispersion of ±80° and vertical dispersion of ±10°. The cabinet measures approximately 717 x 304 x 480 mm (HxWxD) including amplifiers and weighs about 49 kg. Inputs are balanced XLR with >10kΩ impedance and 1V sensitivity. The system includes overload protection via active FET gain reduction and thermal tweeter protection. It comes with stands, fabric-wrapped grills, and spikes. Available finishes include various veneers and paints, with premium and high-gloss options at additional cost. The SCM50ASL is handcrafted in the UK and backed by a 6-year warranty.
