The ATC SCM1-15ASL Subwoofer, also referred to as the C6, is a professional-grade active subwoofer featuring ATC's renowned full “SL” spec 15-inch (375mm) bass driver. It is designed to deliver exceptionally low distortion, with the lowest 3rd harmonic distortion of any large woofer, typically reducing distortion by 35dB. The subwoofer is powered by a robust 450W Class G amplifier, capable of producing over 118dB SPL at 28Hz, making it suitable for demanding audio environments. The design is floor-loaded to ensure optimal coupling with room acoustics, outperforming front-loaded subwoofer types. User controls include phase adjustment, variable cutoff frequency with selectable low-pass filter frequencies (2kHz, 180Hz, 120Hz, 90Hz, 70Hz, 50Hz), variable gain, and a contour control that applies a peak-type boost filter around 100Hz to compensate for source deficiencies or AC3 encoding effects. Inputs are provided via dual XLR (L/R) connectors, supporting balanced signals with an input impedance greater than 10kΩ. The subwoofer measures 624 x 580 x 580 mm and weighs 60 kg, backed by a 6-year warranty.
