About the SCM C1C

The ATC SCM C1C is a passive center channel loudspeaker designed for high-fidelity surround sound systems. It features a newly designed and built 25mm soft dome high-frequency (HF) unit with a precision alloy wave guide, providing clear and detailed treble. The speaker includes twin 125mm ATC mid/bass drivers with integral soft domes, supported by massive finite element analysis (FEA) optimized motor assemblies and in-house hand-wound precision flat wire coils. The design ensures a flat impedance curve, making it an easy load for amplifiers. It offers a matched frequency response within +/- 0.5dB, covering 57Hz to 22kHz (-6dB), with a sensitivity of 86dB at 1 watt/1 meter and a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 103dB. The nominal impedance is 8 ohms, and it is recommended to be paired with power amplifiers ranging from 75 to 300 watts. The crossover frequency is set at 2.5kHz. The cabinet dimensions are 161mm (height) x 410mm (width) x 280mm (depth), with the grill adding an additional 28mm depth. The speaker weighs approximately 12 to 12.7 kg. It comes with a 6-year warranty and is compatible with ATC SCM7 and SCM11 speakers for a complete surround sound setup, often paired with the C1 Sub or C4 Sub for sub-bass support.
