About the Art Audio Quartet Monoblocks
The Art Audio Quartet Monoblocks are high-end vacuum tube monoblock amplifiers designed to combine the power of push-pull designs with the musicality of lower power single-ended designs. They use 845 push-pull power tubes delivering 45 watts per channel, with a frequency response from 10 Hz to 65 kHz ±0.5 dB at 1 watt and 20 Hz to 50 kHz ±1 dB at full power. The amplifiers feature MKP capacitors, carbon film resistors, automatic electronic biasing set for 85 mA at 750 V, and a solid state twin choke filtered power supply with rectified DC heater supply and twin Pye filters. Feedback is switchable at 6 dB. Driver tubes are ECC 82 and 12BH7. The output impedance supports 4 and 8 ohms. The amplifiers are built with multi-section split bobbin output transformers and hybrid PCB/hard-wired construction. They are available with options including black or silver chassis, glass Lums tubes, blue lights, and legs. Each amplifier weighs 27 kg and measures approximately 12.5 inches wide, 18 inches deep, and 10 inches high. These monoblocks are made to order in the UK with a typical delivery time of 4-6 weeks. They are praised for their wide and deep soundstage, exceptional imaging, and a rare synthesis of euphoric tube midrange, upper frequency extension, firm low frequencies, and holographic staging, especially when paired with efficient speakers.
