About the Stentor

The Aries Cerat Stentor is a discontinued, high-end, three-way passive floorstanding loudspeaker. Unlike Aries Cerat’s fully horn-loaded models, it uses a sealed 10-inch woofer, a paper midrange driver, and a RAAL ribbon tweeter. Its stacked-plywood cabinet follows the construction approach used in the company’s larger loudspeakers, while a complex 30-part passive crossover integrates the drivers. The Stentor is a substantial 131 cm-high speaker weighing approximately 50 kg per channel, with reported sensitivity of 88 dB and nominal impedance of 8 ohms.
