The Arcam DiVA CD73 is a stereo compact disc player from Arcam's DiVA range, designed in the UK and positioned as an entry-level to mid-range component that delivers performance comparable to players costing significantly more.[4] It features a clean, minimalist front panel with eight CD navigation buttons and a clear, readable display with CD Text support.[10] The player is renowned for its neutral-warm sonic character, offering detailed and smooth treble reproduction with deep, controlled bass response.[3] The CD73 has been described as "a wonderful sounding CD player with a performance broadly equal to players that might cost twice as much from other brands" and is noted for being especially good at bass and timing with assured detail retrieval.[12][10] The unit features a toroidal power transformer with independently regulated analog and digital power supplies, dual-layer PCB for improved grounding, and audiophile-grade components including Nichicon Fine Gold decoupling capacitors and WIMA polypropylene capacitors.[3] It is upgradeable to the performance of higher-end models (CD82T or CD93T) by changing the DAC module.[9] The player is no longer manufactured but remains highly regarded in the used market.
