About the rDAC

The Arcam rDAC is a high-performance digital-to-analog converter designed to improve the sound quality of digital audio sources such as internet radio, set-top boxes, game stations, and computers. It features the Wolfson WM8741 24-bit/192kHz DAC chip and licensed dCS Asynchronous USB technology, which significantly reduces jitter and noise associated with USB audio. The rDAC offers coaxial, optical, and USB digital inputs and a single RCA analog output. It has a sleek cast aluminum case, a single button for input selection, and an optional wireless version with a wireless dongle for lossless wireless audio transmission. The unit is praised for its natural, detailed sound with a touch of warmth, solid build quality, and effective USB implementation. Dimensions are approximately 160 x 40 x 110 mm, and it weighs about 0.7 kg. The rDAC was introduced around 2010 and is now discontinued.
