About the CDS27

The Arcam CDS27 is a SACD/CD player combined with a network streaming player designed for audiophile quality playback. It features a class-leading TI/Burr Brown PCM1794 digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) supporting up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution, coupled with a linear phase Bessel output filter and a high-precision reclocking system to ensure exceptional audio fidelity. The player supports a wide range of digital audio formats including FLAC, WAV, AAC, AIFF, OGG, MP3, and WMA, playable from discs, USB, or network sources via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. It offers balanced and single-ended analogue outputs, digital outputs (coaxial and optical), and includes IR, IP, and RS232 control for integration into home cinema systems. The CDS27 also supports UPnP and CIFS network protocols for easy access to stored media and comes with a dedicated iOS app called MusicLife for streaming. The unit is built with a specially designed power supply and a critically damped chassis to minimize vibration and interference, ensuring high-quality sound reproduction. It includes a remote control and Wi-Fi antenna, and is finished in black with a compact footprint suitable for high-end audio setups.
