About the AVR600

The Arcam AVR600 is a flagship AV receiver designed for high-end home cinema and music systems. It features a powerful seven-channel amplifier delivering 120 watts per channel into 4 or 8 ohms loads, capable of driving demanding speaker setups with clarity and dynamic range. The AVR600 supports the latest audio decoding formats including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital+, DTS HD Master Audio, DTS High Resolution Audio, and more, ensuring high fidelity playback of all contemporary surround sound formats. It uses state-of-the-art Analog Devices DSPs and Crystal Semiconductor 24-bit/192kHz DACs for precise audio processing and volume control. Video processing is handled by a Pixelworks PW338 chip, supporting upscaling and analog-to-HDMI conversion up to 1080p with deep color. The receiver offers extensive connectivity with over 100 input/output options including 5 HDMI inputs, 2 HDMI outputs, multiple digital and analog audio inputs, Ethernet, USB for audio playback from UPnP devices, and support for iPod via Arcam rLead/rDock. It also features independent multi-zone audio and video control, adjustable crossover frequencies, global audio delay for lip-sync correction, and a comprehensive remote control system. The AVR600 is available in black or silver finish and weighs approximately 25 kg. It was produced from around 2007 and is now discontinued.
