About the K30
The Antipodes Audio K30 is a full-width, fanless high-end music server/player introduced in 2020. Its dual-computer architecture separates the higher-power Server engine, used for music-library management, streaming and server applications, from a low-power Player engine dedicated to low-noise playback. The engines are separately powered and internally optimised for one another. It outputs audio via USB Audio 2.0 or a dedicated Direct Ethernet connection, accepts up to two user-installable 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, and can use external USB storage or an Antipodes K10 external CD ripper. The chassis is CNC-machined solid alloy and incorporates Antipodes’ HSL80 hybrid switched/linear internal power supply. Antipodes lists compatibility with major server/player ecosystems including Roon, Squeeze, HQPlayer, UPnP/DLNA and Sonos; streaming-service availability depends on the installed playback/server application and account. The manufacturer withdrew the K30 when a key chipset became unavailable.
