About the Level 1
AntiCable Speaker Cables, designed by Paul Speltz, are solid-core cables constructed from 12-gauge solid copper wire with a very thin red dielectric coating (0.001 inch thick). This minimal insulation reduces sonic coloration and allows for remarkable clarity, spaciousness, and resolution in audio playback. The cables are somewhat stiff and require shaping to avoid contact with carpeting or other components. They are terminated with basic spades or can be ordered with banana plugs. The design philosophy focuses on eliminating common sources of cable sonic signature such as stranded wire interactions, magnetic fields between leads, and thick dielectric materials. These cables provide a natural, punchy, and alive sound with a low noise floor and enhanced bass weight and musical body. They are handmade in the USA and have received high praise for their transparency and resolving abilities, often outperforming more expensive boutique cables.
