About the Reference AV Center
The Reference AV Center from Anthony Gallo Acoustics is a center channel speaker designed to complement the Reference AV satellite speakers and the Reference 3.1 tower speakers. It features a unique design with four 4-inch carbon-fiber mid/woofers arranged in a 2.5-way configuration and a patented CDTII cylindrical diaphragm tweeter that provides a super-wide 300-degree horizontal dispersion. The speaker uses a cast aluminum chassis with stainless steel spheres for rigidity and diffraction-free sound. It has an integral two-piece steel wall mount bracket included and optional color-matched cast-aluminum stands. The design avoids traditional crossover networks above 100 Hz to preserve musical information and dynamics. The Reference AV Center delivers a frequency response from 55 Hz to 35 kHz, with a nominal impedance of 4-8 ohms and power handling of 150 watts RMS (300 watts peak). It is available in four powder-coated colors: Matte Black, Matte Black with Silver Spheres, Matte White, and Silver-Gray. The speaker is praised for its detailed, transparent sound with excellent dynamics and wide dispersion, making it suitable for home theater and music systems.
