The Anthony Gallo Acoustics Classico CL-4 are two-way floorstanding loudspeakers in the Nucleus Classico series, using Gallo's BLAST transmission line enclosure and patented S2 bass loading rather than a conventional bass-reflex design. Each CL-4 tower employs four 5.25-inch moving-coil polymer-damped carbon fiber woofers that handle both bass and midrange, coupled with a CDT 3 cylindrical diaphragm tweeter offering approximately 180° horizontal dispersion when integrated into the cabinet. In-room performance is specified at a frequency response of 26 Hz–22 kHz ±3 dB, nominal impedance of 4 ohms, sensitivity of 92 dB (2.83 V / 1 m), and power handling up to 350 watts of undistorted amplifier power, with a minimum recommended amplifier power of about 15 watts RMS. The enclosure is built from 3/4-inch internally braced MDF with a rear slot vent as part of the BLAST transmission line, finished in genuine cherry or ash veneers available as dark cherry or black ash, and uses custom Gallo 5-way gold-plated binding posts for connections. Consistent with Gallo's design philosophy in this series, the CL-4 does not use a conventional internal crossover network, relying instead on driver behavior and the BLAST / S2 loading for band-limiting and integration. Owners and reviewers describe the CL-4 as offering deep, agile bass for its size, a neutral and open midrange, and smooth, wide-dispersion treble, with very good room integration from a compact footprint (approximately 35" H x 7" W x 14" D and about 33 lb per speaker).
