About the Lektor Air

The Ancient Audio Lektor Air is a high-end Polish CD player with an integrated tube line preamplifier. It uses a top-loading Philips CD-Pro2 LF metal transport, a Tent Labs low-jitter master clock, Ancient Audio’s Silver DAC III conversion stage, a fully balanced analogue signal path, and a Sovtek 6H30 tube output stage. The unit also accepts line-level analogue sources and provides analogue volume control, allowing it to drive a power amplifier directly. Its chassis incorporates a non-resonant sandwich-granite base and natural-stone finish. An internal expansion slot was provided for optional future digital-input modules; published descriptions identify S/PDIF, AES/EBU and USB as possible module types, but standard versions are documented as lacking installed digital inputs. The Lektor Air was introduced in the late 2000s and appears to be an archived or discontinued model, although a definitive manufacturer discontinuation notice was not located.
