The Allnic HA-3000 is a high-gain nuvistor tube MC phono head amplifier (head amp / pre-preamplifier) designed to sit between a low-output moving coil cartridge and a MM phono stage, providing active gain with very low noise and high transparency. It is a two-chassis, all-tube design with a separate tube-rectified and regulated power supply, using a pair of NOS 7895 nuvistor tubes for amplification and additional tubes (including 7233 and 6BH6) in the power supply. The HA-3000 offers four selectable input load impedances of 50, 100, 200, and 500 ohms via a front-panel rotary control to optimize matching with different MC cartridges. Voltage gain is fixed at 30 dB, making it suitable for low-output MC cartridges in roughly the 0.2-0.5 mV range when feeding a standard MM input. Inputs and outputs are single-ended RCA only, intended specifically to feed the MM input of a downstream phono preamp rather than to function as a full phono stage or line preamplifier. The circuitry, including the nuvistors, is mechanically isolated on a rubber-suspended board to reduce microphonics, contributing to the unit's reputation for high resolution, low noise, fast transient response, and strong bass performance while maintaining tube naturalness. Built in limited numbers and long discontinued, it is considered a rare and sought-after MC head amp that appears infrequently on the used market.
