About the H5500

The Allnic Audio H-5500 is a pure Class A, zero-negative-feedback tube phono stage with two MM and two MC inputs, designed to replace the H-1202 as Allnic's entry-level model in its phono preamp range while offering higher performance and greater flexibility. It features built-in permalloy-core MC step-up transformers, selectable MC loading (278 ohms, 117 ohms, 69 ohms, 29 ohms) via rear-panel rotary switches, a current meter for monitoring tube status, and a larger, more inert aluminium chassis available in black or silver. The tube complement consists of four E180CC signal tubes plus one 7233 and one 5654 in the power supply, providing MM gain of +38 dB and MC gain options of +22, +26, +28, and +32 dB, with RIAA accuracy of 20 Hz-20 kHz (+/-0.3 dB) and a single-ended RCA output.
