The Alan Eaton 45 SET Monoblocks are hand-built, single-ended-triode Class A monophonic tube amplifiers designed for highly efficient loudspeakers. Each amplifier uses a 45 directly heated triode output tube driven by a 6SN7 stage, with a 6AX5GT tube rectifier and Tamura output transformer. Construction is point-to-point wired without circuit boards or semiconductors, and each channel has its own power supply and chassis. The amplifiers include front-panel level controls and rear-panel hum-balance adjustment, allowing direct connection from a DAC, CD player, or other standard line-level source without a separate preamplifier. They are intended primarily for 8-ohm, high-sensitivity loudspeakers and deliver approximately 1.5 watts per channel.
